Dr. Bijan Ziaie graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Upon graduation, he participated in a residency program, and was accepted with first rank in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, at the University of Tehran, Tehran-Iran. In 2011, he received National Board Certification of Small Animal Medicine and finally, he completed his PhD course as top talent student in 2013. At that time, he moved to the Republic of Azerbaijan where he was invited to set up a small animal hospital for a non-profit international organization and worked there as head of veterinary team and associate veterinarian until 2018. After returning to his home country, he continued his career at some famous hospitals in Tehran-Iran. During that time, he participated in many training courses and scientific congresses in Spain, France, the UAE, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Iran and has published a number of scientific articles and book chapters about small animal medicine. In August 2022, Dr. Bijan and his family moved to Winnipeg and joined our team St. Vital Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Bijan spends his spare time with his family and enjoys reading, playing tennis, and skiing.
